My Road to Burnout Recovery

I want to share a story of professional burnout, personal loss—and powerful transformation.

I was like many high-achieving professionals: driven, dependable, and deeply committed to my work. I was the colleague others leaned on, the leader the team trusted, and a consistent force behind company goals.

But behind the scenes, I was quietly unraveling.

I began to feel disconnected with the company’s vision, questioning whether it was truly helping people or simply exploiting them. During a significant life milestone, I experienced the profound loss of two loved ones and watched a parent navigate the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury. Despite these challenges, no one at my former organization ever asked how I was coping or acknowledged my grief.

The passion I once had for my work slowly faded, and the emotional toll became too heavy to ignore. In the midst of burnout and heartache, I made the courageous decision to step away.

Over the next year, I committed to rediscovering myself and reimagining what work-life balance could truly look like. Through rest, reflection, and healing, I found my way back to purpose. Today, I lead a thriving and sustainable business dedicated to empowering individuals, communities, and organizations to pursue holistic wellness.

My story is a reminder: prioritizing mental health isn’t a luxury—it’s a leadership imperative. When we honor well-being, both people and purpose thrive.
